My Business

Hi everyone, I am Martin, the business owner at Ultimate Décor. If you ever reached out and contacted us, it would have more likely have been me that you spoke to.

I started Ultimate Décor here in Kingston Upon Thames in 2004. I have never been happier. I get to do what I love… make people happy. And a happy client means we are doing things right.

We go above and beyond the level of service provided by many of our competitors. We are here to assist in every way possible, from colour consultation to logistics.

We test all our products and paints under scrutinising conditions…Will it last? Is it durable? Is it safe? Is it right for the job?

My Background

I was brought up in Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey until I left home at 16 years of age to join the Royal Marines.

After 7 fun-packed years, I decided to follow my passion to be a Bodyguard and started a Close Protection company in London. For the next 9 years I looked after royalty, dignitaries, pop stars, politicians, actors and more.

During this time I sustained a life altering injury, nearly losing my right leg. It took 3 years of medical support to get back to my adventurous self, completing Ultra distance races, marathons, kick-boxing, football and rugby. The injury was a defining moment and led to a change of career that has brought me a lot of joy in a very different way.

Joe Tuck

Team Spray Mentor and Supervisor

Nickname: Tucks or TC

Supports Man. United, Brentford or QPR depending on who’s winning. He’s Ultimate Décor’s resident DJ / radio hogger and can be seen with a different hairstyle every 3 months depending on the weather. Likes include just training and food… in that order. He dislikes weak Rosie and his favourite film is The Shawshank Redemption.

Dan Lloyd

Spray Technician

Dan loves Spurs, playing darts and sitting on the riverbank with a rod, catching monster carp. Not all at the same time. He believes pineapple has a place on pizza and chooses tea over coffee every time… with a Rich Tea biscuit.

26 years old with experience in a variety of fields. From cyber and physical security to satellite and broadband installations and servicing. I have a passion for acquiring new skills and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

“I’ve been living off-grid aboard a narrow boat since summer of 2021 with my fiancée and two cats. The winters are cold, the summers are hot but the rewards are immense.”

“I started life as a Cockapoo and quickly became the Well-being Ambassador at Ultimate Décor. I look after the team. Hugs and cuddles are my forte!

With the team being very busy, it was noted that they needed love too. it’s not all about receiving… giving is quality too.

It’s great to be part of such an amazing team and I think it’s only fair that I take all the credit.

A difficult and challenging job taking a newly refurbished flat that had been completely replastered with new joinery. Working up the skirting, doors and windows so that all the marks and damage of construction become invisible. Then painting with four coats to a perfect final finish on all walls and ceilings.

I am absolutely delighted by the standard of work. The finish is so amazing. I love it... I highly recommend them to any one who wants that professional finish and feel to there home/business. Thank you my living room looks fantastic.

Martin and his team conducted the work in a professional and efficient manner with no inconvenience to us. They were always punctual, reliable and kept us informed of their plans... This is the second occasion we have used Ultimate Decor and would happily use them again.

Painted walls with a new spray machine... which now look fantastic. What I would have expected if organised by Martin who's work is always done to the highest level. f you want something done properly give Martin a call you will not be disappointed.

Large holes had been cut in the ceiling for Air Con pipework and access, we also have numerous cables cut into the walls that needed invisible repair. All the works was finished on time without any mess and minimum disruption. Now you cannot tell the damage was ever there, excellent work.
